Name: speckledwren [sometimes also nicknamed 'speck']
Gender: male
Age: seventeen and a half moons
Rank: deputy
Clan: riverclan
Mate/crush:
Role player:foehn
Personality:
speckledwren is turning out to be a little bit of a know it all, he constantly likes to prove others wrong and this usually leads to incessant teasing. he is always trying to gain one-upmanship and he is becoming a bit of a comedic and tends to play around. from time to time, he can have a knack for being witty and overall he has a good sense of humour. however he is steadily realising that his slight unkindness, doesn’t make friends.
this little calico cat, takes pride in being quite active and likes to keep himself busy. he is becoming a good sportsman. due to his mother and father, speckledwren has become quite a modest cat, not showing that he is delighted with his achievements. speck likes a bit of competition and takes pleasure in running and games with his clanmates. being in riverclan, has meant he has become a skilled swimmer.
Appearance: a tall short-furred calico tom with duck egg green eyes. speckledwren is quite tall for his age, his legs are a little willowy and long, it's quite hard for him at this stage to manuevere them with agility and they are slightly all over the place when he walks or tries to run, he usually ends up flat on his face if he really wants to go somewhere. he is quite weathered and sinewy and almost looks like even the slightest of breezes could knock him over without trying.
although calico tom cats are quite rare, speckledwren was born with a dappled ginger, white and grey coat to the surprise of his mother and littermates. his petticoat of three colours is short and sometimes is a little tufty in places. he does try to keep it immaculate. speck's eyes are a light birch leaf green and constantly glisten like a waterfall, rather than smiling with his mouth, he prefers to smile with his eyes.
one of speckledwren's ears folds a little at the top, his mother hoped it will iron out when he got older, but it never did and it still remains today. his cheeks have plenty of winter white whiskers to lose over the years and he has a slight crest or tuft of fur at the peak of his chest which doesn't quite stay flat even when he tries to flatten it.
History:
speckledwren was the only offspring of two senior warriors, both modest and humble cats, they did not boast about their only son and they both vowed to raise their kit to be an unpretentious warrior much like themselves. to their surprise, speck had a calico coat which is uncommon in most male cats. they named him speckledkit due to the infinite specks of colour in his coat.
speckledwren's apprenticeship went swimmingly - seeing as he was in riverclan. he started to build up a lot of confidence without at realising at around 11 moons before his warrior ceremony. another apprentice started to build up a crush on him, speckledwren was oblivious.
echopaw - a small black cat with white blotches and speckledwren's apprentice admirer - was under guidance from a forceful mentor. she was called one morning to help fend off a fox although she had little training at 9 and a half moons;echopaw - snarled at the flash of bright orange before her, before it struck at her shoulder with an outstretched mud-caked paw. the fur at the back of her neck stood up involuntarily and she felt herself sweating. the pain surged down her left flank.
her duck egg green eyes widened, not daring to show how frightened she really was. another warrior tried to cling on to the fox's back but without success. the cold pebbles of the riverbank just felt hard and unstable underfoot as echopaw swung her right paw at it's face, feeling faint, stumbling over her own feet, her vision failing.
everything before her eyes seemed to slow down, she felt like she was falling. she turned her head to the side gently as she fell, catching a glimpse of ginger, black and white, running towards her perhaps. 'speckledpaw?' - she uttered, hurting. she felt like she would blush but the feeling ebbed away underneath the overwhelming pain her body felt.
echopaw did not feel anything as she hit the bank of the river. the water lapped at her still side.
speckledwren was promoted to warrior after helping to kill the fox.
echopaw died, without ever confessing her feelings for him. she will become a large guidance for this deputy, in coming years. [/center]
