Personality:

Summerpaw is genuinely a gentle she-cat. Unless you anger her – which is nearly impossible to do – you'll rarely see her dark side. Summerpaw is very laid-back and calm, and has this serene air about her. She's not known to raise her voice unless in battle, and rarely ever gets excited about small stuff. Whether it's just plain laziness or just the innate calmness, no one knows. But it works. She's very down-to-earth and honest, almost brutally honest. But she never means to hurt anyone – actually, she hates hurting others. Unfailingly polite to everyone, even enemies, Summerpaw is a very respectful sort of cat. Oh, she might be tart and sarcastic (she has quite the tongue on her), but she manages to do it in a way that's almost respectful. Also, she knows when to speak up and when to hold her tongue.

Summerpaw is almost obnoxiously friendly and cheerful to just about everyone. She's the type that greets everyone with a smile, even those she really doesn't like. She has an almost annoyingly optimistic outlook on life, greeting everything head-on. That's where her stubbornness comes in. Summerpaw has a stubborn streak a mile wide. Even if she is proven wrong, she will not change her path. She has been known as “mule-headed”, and once she has decided to do something, StarClan help everyone, because she WILL do it. Even if it means running people over to do so. She has a sense of justice that no one but her really knows, and she will stick to that like glue. She doesn't disobey orders exactly, but if she thinks there is something wrong with the way her Clan are going about something, you bet your bottom that she is going to do it HER way.

But things aren't always rainbows and sunshine with this she-cat, and she does have a darker side. It is nearly impossible for her to hate anyone, or to get angry, really, but once you do, woe on you. Slow to anger and slow to forgive, Summerpaw has been known to hold grudges. Her temper, when aroused, is fierce and can be quiet violent, a change from her normal calm and gentle personality. She has been known to lash out physically, even though she hates hurting others. She has tried to control her temper, but will be the first one to admit that she doesn't have the best control over it. It's just wise not to anger her.

Appearance:

Though she is quiet young, she promises to be very pretty. She is on the small side, which is unusual for the ShadowClan cats, but she uses it to her advantage. Because she is smaller than others, she doesn't exactly have the utter brute strength, instead having speed to her advantage. But don't take her for being weak – her claws and teeth still work well enough.

Summepaw's fur is also different than most of ShadowClan. Instead of being black or brown, her fur is a light, gold colour, something that gave her name to her. It is lightly striped with brown, and her back left paw is white. Her eyes are a brilliant green colour, with flecks of brown in them.

History:

Summerpaw was born to Misty, a loner who fell in love with a ShadowClan cat Nightrunner. They only met once, and Nightrunner never knew that he had gotten the she-cat pregnant. Summerpaw was the youngest of three kits, the weakest, and Misty thought that she wouldn't survive. Unable to bear the thought of watching her kit slowly die, she abandoned her in the middle of ShadowClan territory. Summer was soon found by a patrol, who were horrified to find a young kit out in the open.

Summerpaw grew up different than the other cats, perhaps because of her mother. She didn't remember her mother at all, nor did she know that Nightrunner was her father. Nightrunner recognized the emerald eyes, which she had inherited from her mother, though never got the chance to tell her who he was – he was killed in a badger attack two moons after she was brought into the Clan. But Summerpaw grew up fiercely loyal to her Clan, even if she wasn't a true ShadowClan cat.
